Automate Your Lawn Work With A Robomow

We think nothing of the computers in our cars. Who hasn't at least heard of the robotic floor sweepers? Yet for some reason Americans have not yet embraced the one of the greatest home labor saving devices, the robotic lawn mower.

Robotic lawn mowers can cut a yard very efficiently. The software is designed to take into account various types of grass and growing conditions.

The Lawnbott Evolution is particularly sensitive to how fast the grass is growing. Every time it mows it will sense how much resistance is against the blade to try and determine how fast the grass is growing. When it goes back to the charger it will calculate the next time it needs to come out to keep the grass at the optimal height. In other words it will come out more in May than in October.

The new Robomower RL1000 models now match the Lawnbott robotic mowers with rain sensors. So they will not attempt to mow in the rain. The LawnBott takes it a step further with a wet grass detection system, if the grass it too wet it goes back to the charger automatically.

Robotic mowers can be programmed to mow any time day or night. They can be told what days to come out or to stay in. So they can automatically mow during the week while the kids are in school or at night when everyone is in bed, or not mow on the weekends.

They can mow in different patterns so as to cut the grass in different directions. They don't leave the patterns in the yard like traditional mowers. The yard looks always crew-cut smooth.

Robotic mowers prefer to cut more often, they put much less stress on the grass and keep weeds from seeding. Robotic lawn mowers cut just the very tip of the grass so it falls to the ground as ready fertilizer. Virtually every lawn care website states how important that it is to reuse grass clippings.

Reducing water and fertilizer use is also is also important. Too much water and fertilizer can lead to too rapid of growth which will cause thatch.

Robotic lawn mowers use no gas or oil, they are very environmentally friendly. It costs the minimal amount a year to mow the average lawn with a robotic lawn mower. Mother Nature can't help but smile at that!

The Robotic lawn mower is a proven technology, with over 5 years of in-home use world wide. There are many websites with all kinds of information and dealers who are very knowledgeable how robotic lawn mowers can benefit homeowners.

Things to Consider When Buying Robotic Lawn Mowers from Garden Equipment Review

Things to Consider When Buying Robotic Lawn Mowers

You have probably heard of robotic cleaners that vacuums your house without human intervention, correct? But did you know that there are also robotic lawn mowers that cuts your grass while you sit back and sip your ice cold drink in your patio?

Robotic lawn mowers are getting more popular because they are the ultimate in hands-free lawn maintenance. You don't have to lift a finger at all, and yet you can have a nice-looking lawn that's nearly as good as if you had done all the work yourself.

Before you go out and get yourself a robotic lawn mower, you need to consider a few things first...

You need to know the size of your lawn. Different robotic models can handle different lawn sizes, so you will need to get one that can accommodate your specific needs. You definitely do not want to get one that cannot mow your 2-acre backyard, but then again, you do not want to overspend on a higher-end model if you only have a small lawn. Keep in mind the size of your lawn and you can get a robotic mower that has just the right specifications.

Another consideration is the terrain of the lawn -- is it hilly or is it flat? Every model can handle a flat lawn, but not all models can tackle a steep slope. If your lawn has steep inclines, you will need to double-check that the model you want is designed to climb up that slope while mowing.

Robotic lawn mowers work on rechargeable batteries, and thus need to be recharged from time to time. If you want total hands-off operation, you will need to get a model that automatically returns to its docking station to recharge itself. But if you want to save money, you can consider a lower end model that requires you to connect it to a power cable yourself to recharge it when the batteries are weak.

For safety and practical reasons, make sure the model you want has an in-built rain sensor that automatically stops mowing if it starts to rain, and will wait till the rain stops and the lawn dries out before it goes about its mowing operation again.

Robomow offer two years warranty on all there Robotic Mowers and 10 Year Limited Warranty on Cutter Deck (No other lawnmower on the market today can offer such a warranty).

Robotic Lawn Mowers

Robomower Fully-Automated Lawn Mower Designed to Mow the Lawn By Itself!

As a contractor and a dealer of Robotic mowers I regularly go into customers gardens, and see them struggling to keep on top of there garden, especially, in the spring and early summer, when everything is growing extremely quickly. Many people think it seems a good idea to by a ride on mower for there lawn or even spending money on a quality walk behind rotary mower, not realising how time consuming this can be and also trying to beat the weather. I have often been called upon, to bring in a contractors machine, where a lawn has very quickly gone out of control. If you have has these problems before or simply do not enjoy cutting your lawn Robomow could be the answer.

The Robomow is a fully automatic lawnmower, designed to take the hard work out of lawn mowing, once the initial straight forward set up has been achieved, Robowmow can cut your lawn for you, whenever you wish, two, three or however many times a week you require your lawn to be cut.

How does Robomow Work?

Robomow requires a one time simple set-up, which can be easily done by the majority of people, although most dealers do offer a set up service if the customer requires this. A wire is laid around the outer edges of the lawn, and attached to the surface of the lawn with pegs every few meters. The wire and pegs are supplied with the Robomow. The wire is connected to the Base Station or to a small battery powered current source called Perimeter Switch (also supplied with Robomow). Typically the wire will be covered by grass and become unnoticeable in a matter of 2-3 weeks. Robomow recognizes the wire using a special sensor, and makes sure it always stays inside the designated area.

Robomow will automatically depart at the days and times scheduled and automatically return to the Base Station to recharge and get ready for the next scheduled operation. The weekly program can be re-set at any time, if and when required. Robomow will mow the lawn several times from side to side to ensure that the entire yard is covered and the grass is cut from several angles.

How does it cut the grass?

The two larger Robomow's feature a battery powered three blade, 21" (53 cm) powerful cutting system equivalent to a 5.5 HP petrol mower. Robomow is a dedicated mulching mower that mulches better than a traditional mower thanks to its Triple-Chamber-Mulching system and the 5800-RPM blade speed, double that of a typical gas mower. Grass is cut into very small clippings that are buried in the roots of the lawn, where they decompose and act like a natural fertilizer, helping to keep your lawn green throughout the mowing season. With regular cutting using Robomow results in a healthier and better-looking lawn, and eliminates the need to collect and remove the clippings.
